Server Merge FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions about the server merge
What’s a merge?
The merge will bring all players from Germany, US and France to the same server. Players will create and join games together, participate to the same events and compete in the same rankings.
We want to improve the number of players per room and increase participation in clan wars. Merging the servers will allow us to achieve these goals. The client will still be available in all 3 languages and we’ll continue providing support to these languages.
How will it affect my account?
You should not be affected in any major way. Your inventory will remain the same, as will your Wolfcoins, Golds and AP. GP will remain the same, though the ranking will now include players from other countries too, so your overall position might change. Should you have the same callsign as another player, the player with the highest ranking will keep his callsign, the other one will get a free name change ticket. It works the same for prides.
Will you delete any accounts? What if I already play on two servers?
If an account has been inactive for more than 6 months, it will be deleted. We will not delete active accounts, but if your Aeria account has profiles on two or three versions of the game (e.g. If you are playing on the German and the US version), we will only be able to keep the content of one account. In this scenario the characters, equipment, weapons, Wolfcoins and Gold of the account with the highest GP rank will be preserved. Any additional accounts will be discarded without merging their content.
Will I have to download another client? Will there be differences in the game version?
No. The merge will be just be an extended maintenance. When it is completed the launcher will update your client.
Will there be any compensation for the extended downtime?
We will run several free items events during the month following the merge, along with some competitions within the pride war and the camp system.
Will I have to play in a different language? Will support use a different language?
No. We are keeping clients and support teams for all the language we were already supporting. Your game and GMs stays the same!
Will there be any change to the Game Sage team?
No. We’re keeping Game Sages for every language, they’ll continue running events and serving their community.
Which servers are we going to use?
We are keeping all the servers we used to. The server being used depends on the room creator. The room name will show which server (EU or US) is hosting the game.
Will the pricing change? Will the web mall change?
No. Every merged territory has the same pricing and the same web mall, you will not see any change.
Why is Poland not merged with the other clients?
Poland’s pricing does not match other territories’. For that reason we will not be merging it and it will continue running in its current form.
Are there going to be connection issues since we'll be so many on one server?
We are taking our time to make sure everything is prepared as it should. The server will be able to handle a very large amount of players.
I am banned on WTUS, so I'm playing on WTFR. Will I be banned once the merge is done?
If you have more GP on the server on which you are banned, you might be banned once the merge is done. To prevent that, please send us a ticket so we can remove the GP of your banned account.
Will there be a translator ingame so that we can understand each other?
There won't be any translating program ingame, but you'll be able to keep playing using your localised client, and in the lobby, tags representing the continent on which each room was created will be displayed ("[US]" or "[EU]").
Will the ranking be the same after merge? Will the amount of high ranked players be changed?
The ranking system will remain the exact same, except there will be only one raking for all players. Reaching the top ranks will prove harder.
